Hawaii

The final showdown of an incredible season of elite diving came to a close in Hawaii, a picture-perfect location and an historic birthplace of the sport. The breathtaking Kawainui Falls played host to all the aerial action on Hawaii's Big Island, and in a fitting high-stakes showdown it was Oahu resident Orlando Duque who finally landed a first place finish, before handing over his World Series champion title to Britain's Gary Hunt. Hunt, who took four victories this season, set a new gold standard in the sport and set up a thrilling new sporting rivalry for 2011.
