Dubrovnik
The third stop on the 2009 calendar saw 12 elite divers touch down in Dubrovnik, diving from the city known as 'the Pearl of the Adriatic', a UNESCO World Heritage site. This stunning location in the South of Croatia, known as one of the most beautiful in the Mediterranean, was the first rugged location on the World Series calendar, with the choppy Mediterranean waters throwing in an extra challenge for the divers. Ultimately, Orlando Duque rose to the occasion and took the win, followed by Gary Hunt, who was chasing his first win. Artem Silchenko earned his first spot on the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series podium, as the season got into its stride ahead of the midway point.
