Germany welcomed the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series in the port city of Hamburg, where history was waiting to be made.Rookie Gary Hunt pulled off the then most difficult dive in World Series history, with his new dive. A triple somersault with four twists saw Hunt up the ante and heavily hint to the veterans of the sport what was in store from the British diver. The risk paid off as Hunt took a spectacular and decisive victory, followed onto the podium by Andrew Ignatenko in second place. and for the first time, Michal Navratil in third place.
