Rapa Nui
The remote island of Rapa Nui served as the season opener for 2011, as a brand new battle for the World Series champion title began. The world's most elite divers travelled to one of the farthest corners of the globe, Chile's Rapa Nui/Easter Island. Here, Orlando Duque made an epic comeback, throwing down the gauntlet in an effort take back his former champion title, as he secured his first win of the season above the wild waters of the isolated island. Familiar faces Artem Silchenko and Gary Hunt joined Duque on the podium in second and third place respectively.
